Rendering in Colchester and north Essex
Render protects brickwork from the weather and can change the whole look of a house. Mick has been rendering homes across Essex since 1982.

Traditional sand and cement flat render
Flat render keeps rain and damp out of the brickwork, helps the house hold its heat, and smartens up the outside.
A typical job: old pebbledash taken back to the bricks, a bonding coat, then a scratch coat and a top coat of 3 to 1 sand and cement a few days later.

K-Rend silicone render
K-Rend is a UK-made, silicone-based render known for how well it sheds water. It comes pre-coloured in a wide range of colours and finishes, so there is no painting afterwards.
Mick has years of experience with K-Rend and is happy to talk through which type and colour would suit your house.

Monocouche render
Monocouche, a through-coloured single-coat render, is listed among the rendering systems Mick works with.

Pebbledash and roughcast
Pebbledash is a hard-wearing, textured finish that costs less to look after than a painted wall. Stones are thrown onto fresh render so they set into it, in a single colour or a mix.
